The Quran
“Say: Travel through the earth and see how Alah did originate creation; so will Allah produce later creation, for Allah has power over all things” [Qur’an; 29:20]
“And (do) not pursue what not you have of it any knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, and the sight, and the heart all those will be [about it] questioned.”[Qur’an; 17:36]
Hadith
Abu Qatadah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) say: A good vision comes from Allah and a dream (hulm) from the devil, so when one of you sees what he dislikes, he must spit on his left (three times), and seek refuge in Allah from its evil. It will then not harm him. [Abu Dawud]
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: Verily the vision of a believer is one of the forty-sixth part of Prophecy. [Sahih Muslim]
