The Quran
“And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad – and it is the truth from their Lord – He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.” [Quran; 47:2]
“You shall know that: “There is no other god beside God” [Qur’an; 47:19]
“(They are those) who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return.” [Qur’an; 2:46]
“Indeed, those who have said, “Our Lord is Allah,” and then remained on a right course – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” [Quran; 46:13]
“Indeed, those who have said, “Our Lord is Allah ” and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], “Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.” [Qur’an; 41:30]
Hadith
Sufyan bin Abdullah ath- Thaqafee (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me something about al-Islam which I can ask of no one but you.” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Say I believe in Allah — and then be steadfast.” [Muslim]
